Ennennum Kannettante

Ennennum Kannettante is a coming‑of‑age, teenage love story centered on Kannan, Sangeeth, and his childhood friend‑turned‑beloved Radhika, Sonia G Nair. The film unfolds as Kannan, a 19‑year‑old, travels from Trivandrum with his mother to his Valiya Koikkal Tharavadu for a vacation that coincides with the family temple festival at the Pookkulangara Devi temple. The bustling household is filled with relatives who warmly welcome him, including his grandfather Parameswara Kuruppu, played by Thilakan, his grandmother, his aunt Vijayalakshmi, and her children. Kannan’s days are happy and carefree, especially when he spends time with his loyal friend Gopu, Appa Haja, and enjoys the rhythms of village life.

The mood shifts with the arrival of Murappennu Radhika, who returns from Bangalore after nine years to perform her dance debut, an event known as the Arangettam, in the same temple. The center of attention gravitates toward her radiance, and what begins as a mix of nostalgia and curiosity quickly blossoms into something deeper for Kannan. When Kannan and Radhika reconnect, the long‑submerged feelings between them surge to the surface: Kannan, smitten at first sight, quickly realizes that Radhika shares a similar affection for him. Yet the blossoming romance collides with family scrutiny.
