In the afterlife, a teenage oni operating a cleansing machine is distracted by his Walkman, causing the machine to explode. Freed evil spirit essence engulfs him and he transforms into Janemba, a massive childlike demon with reality-warping powers. His emergence triggers the resurrection of the deceased, throwing the afterlife into turmoil.
