Donald’s Double Trouble

Donald is inside a telephone booth when Daisy calls him out for poor manners and bad English, threatening to end their relationship if he doesn't improve. He feels the sting of her words and worries he will lose her. Daisy slams the phone down so hard it causes the booth to explode.

Fearing the breakup, Donald wanders the city streets looking for a solution. He rehearses ways to change his personality and win her back. He wonders whether a drastic change could save their relationship.

While wandering the streets, Donald meets a nameless look-alike duck with a pleasant British-accented voice who resembles him. Donald offers money to the duck to impersonate him and try to win Daisy back. The idea promises an easy fix but feels risky.

Dapper Duck agrees to impersonate Donald, promising to charm Daisy and smooth things over. Donald hopes the swap will reset the romance in his favor. The plan sets the stage for complications beyond expectations.

As the impersonator spends time with Daisy, she begins to warm to him, thinking he is Donald because of the shared appearance. Donald watches, growing jealous as the date progresses. The plan seems to be working too well for Donald's comfort.

Determined to sabotage the budding romance, Donald makes several attempts to keep Daisy and Dapper apart. He follows them and uses various tricks to prevent them from getting closer. His jealousy drives him to desperate actions.

Donald tracks them to the amusement park, staying close to interfere at the right moment. He remains convinced that he can salvage his relationship by stopping the date. The park's sights and sounds become the backdrop for his scheming.

In the Tunnel of Love, Donald begs Dapper to stop meddling and end the deception. Dapper, fed up with Donald's disruptions, refuses to back down and continues with the plan. The tension between the two ducks escalates quickly.

The confrontation reaches a peak when Dapper pushes Donald underwater to shut him up. Donald surfaces soaked and furious, realizing the plan has spiraled out of control. The act cements the danger of the impersonation scheme.

Hearing a kiss just outside the tunnel entrance, Donald misreads the moment as Daisy choosing Dapper. He takes this as the final straw and storms into the tunnel to stop Dapper once and for all. His jealousy boils over into rash action.

Inside the tunnel, a brief but brutal fight erupts between Donald and Dapper. Water splashes and chaos ensue as their struggle disrupts the ride. The fight ends with both ducks spent and frustrated.

The camera cuts to the tunnel exit where Donald and Dapper, holding hands and closing their eyes, walk out as if they are Daisy. They are stunned when Daisy appears, drenched and furious at the sight. The moment reveals their mistake and confusion.

Daisy walks out of the tunnel drenched and loudly yells at both ducks for deceiving her. She vents her anger incoherently as she lashes out at the impostors. The chaos leaves the two ducks scrambling.

Realizing they have been mistaken and Daisy is furious, Donald and Dapper quickly flee toward the park exit. They push through the crowd, trying to escape the scolding that follows. Daisy's wrath trails them as they disappear from view.
