After a heavy night of drinking in their cramped Chennai apartment, four friends hatch a reckless plan to explore the derelict Demonte Colony mansion. They joke and tease, but fear lingers in the humid air. They decide to slip inside after dark to see if the rumors are true.

They slip over the broken gates as rain hammers the walls and the mansion swallows them in darkness. The group splits up to cover more ground, each corner and corridor adding to the sense of dread. Every creak seems to whisper that they are not welcome.

Each friend encounters a spine-tingling, almost ritual moment inside the house as rooms shift and shadows move. Srini receives a cryptic call from the astrologer about something important, but the line drops just as he reaches the astrologer's residence. Moments later, they learn the astrologer has been found dead, intensifying the sense that the mansion's curse has followed them home. Through a storyteller's voice, the mansion's backstory unfolds: Portuguese magnate John Demonte owned the estate and wished to gift his wife a precious necklace. When his wife spiraled into madness after a tragedy, Demonte murdered his servants, triggering a purge and a devastating fire that destroyed the mansion. The locals say a curse binds the diamond necklace to Demonte Colony, ensuring that anyone who tries to steal it will pay with their life.

Raghavan reveals a direct tie to the necklace, admitting he stole it to fund his own project. The confession reframes the haunting as a personal debt to the cursed treasure rather than a faceless force.

Objects in the living space begin acting on their own: a TV flickers to life with their own conversations, lights go out without explanation, and calls for help end in silence. The room feels colder, and trust among friends erodes as the boundary between the living and the cursed blurs.

During an Ouija session, the planchette swings toward Raghavan and his voice fades into static, signaling a vengeful spirit fixed on him. The questions imply that none of them will escape this night. The danger feels personal and inescapable.
