Thatankulli Dada Mohammed Sahib, popularly known as Dada Sahib, is a steadfast freedom fighter and a former INA officer whose life is devoted to the welfare of people and the nation. His only son Subedar Abubacker is in jail, awaiting his death sentence, accused of disloyalty to the country in the name of Pakistan and of killing hundreds in the Thaliyoor temple. Heartbroken, Sahib goes to meet the Governor Rahmath Ali, a close friend’s son, hoping for a reprieve. Yet Rahmath Ali tells him little can be done since Abubacker’s death sentence stands, and even the President has refused mercy.

Sahib then travels to the jail to encourage Abu, urging him to meet his fate with the spirit of a true Indian. He later confronts IG Skariah Zachariah, a cunning police officer who accuses him and his son of loyalty to Pakistan. Returning home, Sahib recounts his past to his trusted aide Raghavan, his loyal right-hand man.

In Lahore, during the brutal days of Partition, Sahib fights back against communal violence directed at Hindus, standing up to militant mobs and earning admiration for saving lives as Hindu communities hail him as a hero. Back in the present, Dr. Raveendran opens up to Das about the pain of losing his wife in the temple bombing, setting a somber tone for the ongoing struggle for justice. Athira, who loves Abu, visits him in a moment of desperation, sharing in the heartbreak of a man awaiting his death sentence. As the clock runs down toward the gallows, those who know Abu’s innocence worry for him, including Athira.

The course of events shifts when Abu miraculously escapes death. Reuniting with Sahib at the hospital, the two find relief in each other’s safety while Raveendran and Dr. John had played a crucial role in Abu’s rescue. A reporter named Ravi captures the moment with photographs of Sahib and Abu, fueling a newspaper frenzy. The truth begins to surface when Raveendran reveals what really happened at the temple, including Abu’s memories of Minister Mohammad Kutty as a figure connected to the explosions.

A web of conspirators emerges as Abu, Sahib, and their allies uncover the mastermind behind the violence. They stumble upon Swami Atmaswaroopan, an evil godman, and the shadowy figure behind the scheme, known only as Supper, with Skariah and others playing their parts. The revelations place Abu under new scrutiny, as Skariah and Kutty accuse him of still being alive and connected to the violence.

Athira remains a beacon of hope, traveling with Raveendran in a tense, perilous journey that ends in tragedy when Raveendran is killed and Athira is captured by Kutty and Atmaswaroopan. Sahib and Abu press on, determined to unravel the truth, even as their enemies tighten the net around them. The struggle culminates on a grand Republic Day, where a fresh attempt to unleash chaos is averted only to reveal an even deeper betrayal: Supper is none other than Governor Rahmath Ali.

The truth comes at a high cost. Rahmath Ali’s forces move to quell the uprising, and Kutty falls to the consequences of his schemes. In a dramatic clash, Sahib confronts Rahmath Ali, urging unity and resilience in the face of tyranny. Despite orders to spare the governor, Sahib persists, and in the end, he is felled by gunfire. With his last breath, he defeats the tyranny he fought against, beheading Rahmath Ali and sealing his sacrifice, while Abu looks on in awe and pride as the people hail him as a hero.
