Curious George 2: Follow That Monkey!

George, living with Ted in his New York City apartment, reads in the newspaper about Piccadilly's magic show featuring Kayla. He tries to show Ted the news, but Ted is distracted and late for a crucial meeting with Mr. Bloomsberry.

Ted meets with Mr. Bloomsberry and learns that he is the museum's top candidate to take over, but only if he writes and delivers a compelling vision to the Board within one week.

Maggie reminds Ted that his loved ones deserve more attention than his career, so Ted takes George to the magic show. During the performance, Piccadilly makes Kayla disappear; George finds her in the basement, and they stumble toward the exit as the commotion unfolds.

Piccadilly's security chief, Danno Wolfe, and Mrs. Fisher are alerted to Kayla's disappearance, and Danno grows suspicious of Ted and George. Television coverage shows Kayla's home in a California animal park with her siblings Tonga and Layla.

Ted returns Kayla to the apartment, and George is drawn to an advertisement for the 'California Express' train. Ted struggles to get Kayla back from the boxcar before it leaves the station.

Danno suspects that Ted and George have kidnapped Kayla, and the tension rises as Ted, trying to fetch the pages of his presentation, ends up falling from the moving boxcar. He attempts to call Piccadilly, but the call can't go through, further fueling Danno's suspicions.

Inside the train, Kayla's movement causes the boxcar to detach from the rest of the train, and a flatbed truck picks them up. In a televised interview, Piccadilly, with Hark Hanson, labels Ted and George as Kayla's kidnapping duo, and Ted realizes they're headed the wrong direction and tries to head back east.

They spend the night with Dan, a farmer, and his daughter Anna. Ted reads in the newspaper that New York believes they're kidnappers, while Bloomsberry fears jail; he also reads about Kayla's family.

George convinces Ted to take Kayla back to her home. Danno arrives in a helicopter, but a pig knocks him into a rain barrel and Kayla scares the pilot away. The group escapes in a school bus and reaches the park where Tonga and Layla greet Kayla.

Danno reappears and arrests George and Ted, capturing Kayla. On their flight back to New York, George retrieves the handcuff keys and the friends skydive into the city.

Back at the theater, Danno follows them. Kayla throws him down the trapdoor onto a mattress below, ending his immediate threat.

Ted gives his report to the Board; though flustered, he improvises a speech declaring that friends are more important than work and proposes ideas like Father and Son Day. The Board approves his appointment as head of the museum.

In the park, Ted, George, and Maggie enjoy a picnic as Piccadilly and Tina arrive. Tonga and Layla reveal that they have joined Piccadilly's act, reuniting Kayla with her family.
