Cool Cat Saves the Kids

Cool Cat is busy making signs for his school president campaign with a close friend, Maria, when a mysterious text arrives from an unknown number. The message is cruel and demeaning, claiming that Maria is ugly and has rat hair. After several tense exchanges, the two discover that the person behind the hate comes from the neighborhood: Butch the Bully(/actor/connor-dean), watching from behind a car. The moment Butch bursts into laughter, he runs off, only to grab a spray can and vandalize one of Cool Cat’s campaign signs. A gust of wind changes the plan, spraying the contents into Butch’s eyes and sending him fleeing once more.

Butch doesn’t act alone; he enlists two others, Jamie and Serge, to continue the vandalism around the block. When Cool Cat learns of the scheme, he races to confront the trio, turning a moment of mischief into a teachable moment as Butch bolts away and leaves the spray can with his two partners. Later, Cool Cat learns of a kids’ writing contest through one of Daddy Derek’s “entertainment magazines,” fueling a new, hopeful goal. Soon after, the group hears a radio alert that something isn’t right in the neighborhood: a thief is taking candy from babies. They suspect Butch as the culprit and decide to take action. The moment of truth arrives when the kids spot Butch trying to squeeze cash out of Jamie, and the appropriate authorities are alerted. The police arrive, arresting Butch, and the tension of the neighborhood begins to ease. In the aftermath, a gun is found in the grass, prompting Daddy Derek to inform Butch’s parents and to coordinate with local law enforcement to address the danger.

The next morning unfolds with a crucial scene: Daddy Derek accompanies Cool Cat and his friends to school, and they encounter Butch showing off the gun to Jamie. The police arrive again, arresting Butch and Jamie as a preventative measure to protect the students. Throughout these ordeals, Cool Cat’s courage grows, and his network of loyal friends grows stronger as well.
