Curfew

The film opens with Sujjan Rao campaigning in Udayapura, Bengaluru, on the path to contest the M.L.A. seat. He becomes the people’s favourite and is seen as a likely future Chief Minister. His integrity and popularity make him a target for powerful rivals who fear his influence.

Former Home Minister Palaksha disdains Sujjan Rao and secretly backs an extortion gang after their leader Dalapathy is jailed. Palaksha and his sidekick Venka operate from the shadows to undermine Sujjan's rising authority. The brewing conspiracy sets the stage for the violence to come.

Pradeep, formerly a Circle Inspector, is transferred to Udayapura as the new Deputy Commissioner after a custodial murder case tied to Palaksha. His arrival is a direct challenge to Palaksha's schemes. The locals expect firmer action under his leadership.

Dalapathy, the extortion lord, is hospitalised in a Mysuru hospital while orchestrating events from his bed. From there he orders his henchmen to recruit two jobless youngsters, Subbu and Seenu, to turn a peaceful bandh into a riot. The plan hinges on inflaming crowds and eroding trust in the authorities.

During the bandh, Dalapathy's goons terrorise the streets, destroy shops, and fuel violence. Narayan, a respected tutor and freedom fighter, is killed, shocking the community. Pradeep makes several arrests of the rioters, but the criminals manage to escape into the crowd.

Dalapathy escapes to Bangalore and forms an alliance with Palaksha and Venka, deepening the intimidation campaign. In response, Pradeep imposes a 24-hour curfew across Udayapura and Shantipura to curb the unrest. The city braces for further escalation as the conspiracy widens.

Dalapathy's goons sabotage the water pipeline supplying the slums, worsening living conditions. With groceries scarce, authorities extend the crackdown, issuing a stricter curfew and a shoot-at-sight order. The two-hour relief window becomes a dangerous pause in the violence.

Subbu and Seenu begin to regret their actions and try to help a sick baby, despite the risks. The crackdown turns deadly and Subbu is gunned down by police. The episode underscores the tragic human cost of the violence unleashed by the gang's manipulation.

Pradeep teams with journalist Srinivas and doctor Murthy to investigate the chaos. They learn that Dalapathy has escaped from the Mysuru prison and moved to another city, prompting a renewed manhunt. Murthy warns of potential danger as the pursuit shifts location.

With the help of Murthy and Srinivas, Pradeep convinces Dalapathy to betray Palaksha and Venka. Dalapathy eliminates Palaksha and Venka, consolidating his position and setting up a direct confrontation with Sujjan. The betrayal reshapes the power dynamics in the city.

Dalapathy escapes with a sniper rifle, intending to kill Sujjan during his padhayatra. Pradeep redoubles his efforts to prevent the assassination and protect the crowd. The city braces for a tense finale as the snipers search for their targets.

In the climax, Pradeep saves Sujjan and shoots Dalapathy dead. Sujjan delivers a speech vowing to honor and trust the police, and to stand with the people. With the criminals defeated, life in Udayapura returns to peace and normalcy.
