Lin Ke-Song works at a hotel in Hangzhou and discovers she has a rare gift for taste. She crosses paths with Jiang Qian-Fan, a famed Michelin-starred chef who has lost his sense of taste. Their meeting highlights the contrast between her gift and his lack of flavor.

At a restaurant, Lin is mistaken for a member of a private taste-testing group. She slips out of the private room and ends up sitting at Song Yi-Ran's table. Jiang Qian-Fan cooks for the group and later reviews the feedback, while Lin returns to the main table.

Jiang Qian-Fan reviews all the feedback from the taste-test and rejects 14 as inadequate. He discovers a 15th feedback without a name and realizes the writer has the rare gift of taste. He urgently orders his staff to locate the girl who can actually taste properly.

In a restaurant, Lin Ke-Song cries over being fired and meets Jiang Qian-Fan. He hires her for three days to escort him to Hangzhou's best eateries, testing her palate along the way. Through this journey, he confirms that her taste is genuine and remarkable.

Lin learns Song Yi-Ran is moving to Shanghai with his girlfriend, and she decides to follow him. She stays at her uncle's place while he begins a new life there. This move sets the stage for her culinary dreams beyond Hangzhou.

Lin Xiao-Yu enters the Future Culinary Star competition, with Lin Ke-Song accompanying as support. She is not allowed in unless registered, and Lin Ke-Song's dish in the preliminary earns the crew's derisive label 'Evil Dragon Princess'.

Jiang Qian-Fan learns from Elise Quentin that she kept information about the competition. He decides to join as a mentor to one of the contestants and begins searching for a disciple who can help him regain his craft.

Jiang Qian-Fan invites Lin Ke-Song to be his apprentice, promising three months of rigorous training for the main competition. He imposes strict techniques to shape her talent. Lin Ke-Song, who can taste, begins to learn cooking.

Under demanding instruction, Lin Ke-Song develops her own cooking style and gains confidence. She evolves under Jiang Qian-Fan's mentorship, turning her raw palate into precise technique. The intense preparation pushes her beyond her limits.

The Future Culinary Star main event begins, and Lin Ke-Song faces rivals including Boris and Lin Xiao-Yu. Dirty tricks from Lin Xiao-Yu and Victor Quinton complicate the path to the finals. Lin Ke-Song fights through the opening rounds toward the semifinals.

In the semifinals, Lin Ke-Song clashes with Lin Xiao-Yu. In the final minutes, Lin Xiao-Yu suffers a blowtorch accident and is badly burned, eliminating her from the competition. Lin Ke-Song advances to the finals.

During the finals, the mentors cook with their disciples. Jiang Qian-Fan loses his sight due to an overdose of medication taken to counteract a slow-acting poison. He continues to compete, and Lin Ke-Song earns second place against Victor Quinton and his mother, the Queen of Desserts.

After the competition, Jiang Qian-Fan and Lin Ke-Song realize they are in love and complement each other. Song Yi-Ran gradually falls for Lin Ke-Song, inspired to become a better version of himself despite his feelings for Chu Ting.

Jiang Qian-Fan regains his sense of taste and sight by taking an illegal experimental drug Elise purchased, which can reactivate nerves. He travels into a forest to take the drug and would have died, but Lin Ke-Song finds him in time and gets him to a hospital.
