Avi Mehra, an ace photographer, shares a live-in relationship with Sonia, a model. The couple enjoys a vibrant bond but carries unspoken tensions beneath the surface.

On a night returning from a party, their speeding car strikes a young girl. Sonia is driving; to avoid trouble, Avi urges them to flee the scene. The accident marks a moral turning point for both of them.

After the crash, strange white marks begin to appear in Avi's photographs, hinting at a malevolent presence. Sonia experiences inexplicable events, and Avi suffers severe neck pain while a weight check reveals he weighs 120 kilograms. The signs escalate their fear and sense that something follows them.

The hauntings intensify as Avi's best friends start dying by suicide in similar ways. The couple realizes the supernatural force is tied to Avi's past and may be seeking vengeance. They scramble to understand the connection.

Clues point to a connection between the haunting and Avi's college days. Sonia learns that Avi had a close friendship with a girl named Aarti Kaushik.

They visit Aarti Kaushik, only to discover she is dead, said to have committed suicide with a knife. Aarti's mother stubbornly believes she is alive, thinking she is ill and will recover.

On the road home, Aarti's presence continues to haunt Avi and Sonia. Later, at a hotel, she haunts Avi in his sleep, culminating with him being thrown from a fire escape.

Avi ends up hospitalized after the harrowing night. Sonia tells him that Aarti will be cremated, and they attend her funeral.

Sonia finds photographs that reveal a dark past involving Aarti and Avi's friends; the images suggest Aarti was harmed by Avi's circle. She confronts Avi with the truth and learns that his friends tried to intervene, but something went terribly wrong. Avi explains that he kept the photos as a painful reminder of his failure to protect Aarti.

Avi tells Sonia that he only wanted Aarti to understand his feelings. When his friends confronted Aarti, Tarun accused Avi of planning everything, and one of the friends had taken the photographs. He admits that the photos were kept to remind himself of his guilt.

Sonia cannot forgive him and decides to leave. She tells him she hopes that Aarti may forgive him someday.

Avi attempts to kill himself in the same way as his friends did. As a Polaroid camera clicks toward him, he sees Aarti sitting on his shoulders, implying she still loves him. He is then thrown through the window and ends up in the hospital.

In the hospital, it is suggested that Aarti still loved Avi. Sonia takes another photograph of Avi and speaks to Aarti, telling her she will let go someday. The reflection in the mirror shows Aarti leaning on Avi's back, hinting at an unresolved bond between them.
