C.I.D. Moosa

Sahadevan, son of police constable Prabhakaran, dreams of joining the Kerala Police and trains hard to pass exams and the physical test. His ambitions clash with family dynamics, particularly with his brother-in-law Pitambaran who married Sahadevan’s elder sister after an elopement. The tension foreshadows a conflict between personal loyalty and professional duty.

From his cell in Tihar Jail, Baba hatches a plan to wipe out Chief Minister Ravi Menon and enlists the help of corrupt Commissioner Gowrishankar. The alliance sets a dark plan in motion that will test the city’s law and order. The impending attack becomes the looming threat that drives the early acts.

Baba’s rebels—Randheer, Amar and Jandu—plant a device inside the hospital where the Chief Minister is recovering. Sahadevan and his dog Arjun locate and eject the device just in time, saving lives. Arjun is wounded in the process, prompting urgent medical care for the brave canine and the team.

In the aftermath of the hospital incident, Gowrishankar and Pitambaran actively scheme to fail Sahadevan’s forthcoming physical test. Disillusioned by the corruption around him, Sahadevan pivots toward a private detective path inspired by his late uncle, Karamchand. He adopts the alias Moosa and starts a fresh investigation into the attack on the Chief Minister.

Moosa’s initial investigation targets Randheer and his two accomplices, leading to Randheer’s surrender to the police and earning the DIG Sathyanath’s respect. Gowrishankar secretly murders Randheer to silence interrogation and even destroys Moosa’s improvised office when he discovers there is no license backing the operation. The threat to Menon intensifies as the case unfolds.

With Randheer dead, Amar and Jandu press a second attempt to target Chief Minister Menon using a car bomb. Moosa acts quickly, attending to Menon and foiling the plan, earning public adulation for averting disaster. This act cements his reputation as a protector even as the system continues to resist him.

Meena reveals that Randheer, Amar and Jandu had been living as paying guests in her apartment, and she had filed a complaint when they disappeared. Gowrishankar arrests Meena on false charges of harboring terrorists, attempting to silence her testimony. Moosa pleads for her innocence but faces resistance from the corrupt officials.

Gowrishankar tortures Meena to coerce a confession, prompting Moosa to rush to her aid. He rescues her and their bond deepens as she responds to his concern. The confrontation escalates into a clash where Baba and the Commissioner converge to confront Moosa.

Moosa, Menon, and Arjun dodge pursuit in a high-stakes chase, using his detective-car gadgets to stay ahead of the law. In the climactic encounter, Moosa eliminates Baba and the corrupt commissioner, clearing his name. The Chief Minister and the public hail Moosa as a hero and restore trust in him.

With his name cleared, Moosa and Arjun are sent to Scotland Yard for advanced professional training, signaling a new phase in his career. He bids farewell to his family and friends, including Sathyanath and Pitambaran, acknowledging their support. The city welcomes the rise of a self-made sleuth ready for international challenges.

As Moosa’s journey seems to begin, a lunatic from the earlier plot hijacks his private jet, ties up the pilot, and the aircraft spirals into the clouds. The plane vanishes, leaving the ending open and Moosa’s legend intact with a note of suspense. The audience is left pondering the next chapter in Moosa’s detective saga.
