Chhota Bheem and the Curse of Damyaan

In the rural town of Dholakpur, a brave and clever nine-year-old named Bheem stands out for his courage, strength, and ingenuity. When Princess Indumati and a handful of other children are kidnapped by the villain Mangal Singh, the young hero steps forward to orchestrate a daring rescue, proving that quick wits can turn the tide against danger.

Back home, the group plans a secret birthday surprise for Bheem. The younger crowd includes Jaggu, Dholu and Bholu, along with Raju and Chutki. The village also watches a rivalry unfold with Kalia, a jealous bully who seeks Bheem’s popularity yet never manages to outshine him. This dynamic push-pull between friendship and rivalry fuels much of the story’s energy as the children navigate the pressures of growing up in a world filled with legends and peril.

Beyond the playground drama, a larger struggle begins to loom. Krishna lends aid to Bheem in the most difficult moments, especially as demons threaten the Kingdom of King Raja InderVerma. The threats are formidable—robbers, dragons, and other dark forces—testing Bheem and his companions’ resolve and teamwork.

A shadow from the past returns in the form of Damyaan, a demon granted immortality by the Book of Magi. Bound by a curse that confines him to the city of Sonapur, Damyaan seeks escape and dominion once more. He enlists his minister, Skandi, to lure the king toward the tomb and to reawaken the demon’s power. Skandi deceives InderVerma by posing as a loyal helper, saving him from his own cobra and highlighting Sonapur’s glittering riches as bait. The tale makes InderVerma appear as a righteous savior, but his trust in Skandi leads him deeper into danger.

Despite Bheem’s warnings, the king follows Skandi’s promises, driven by the lure of gold. The journey brings them to Sonapur, where a Fakir named Singhala warns them to retreat or risk Damyaan’s curse becoming real. Yet the temptation of untold wealth proves hard to resist, and InderVerma presses on with the expedition.

Singhala reveals a crucial truth: he is a descendant of Sonapur’s native magicians, and Damyaan has already infiltrated the city by stealing the Book of Magi and using it to cast immortality spells. While Damyaan’s immortality is real, the spellwork backfires, imprisoning him in a tomb and leaving the realm vulnerable. The key to salvation lies in history itself—stopping the Immortalization ceremony by traveling to the past and destroying the Book of Magi.

Bheem and his friends embark on a time-traveling mission through a portal opened by the Fakir. They briefly find themselves captured by Skandi again. In a tense sequence, Dholu and Bholu are turned into frogs, and Bheem disguises himself among Kaalsainiks to advance. A fortuitous intervention by Gulabchand, a kind shopkeeper, helps expose their true identities and saves the team from a dangerous trap. Bheem is wounded and fades, only to awaken with his friends restored to human form.

Guru Sambhu, a sagacious mentor, explains that raw bravery and strength won’t be enough to defeat Damyaan without magic. He leads them to a magical realm where each member gains a specialized power: Raju receives a magical bow that never misses, Chutki gains two magical trees, Jaggu wields a cluster of magical stinging bananas, Kalia can become invisible, [Dholu] and Bholu acquire the ability to replicate themselves, and Bheem obtains a hymn that taps into the power of his enemies—a secret still waiting to be fully decoded.

That night, news sweeps through as the second term of Damyaan’s Immortalization ceremony nears its finale—an ominous ritual that traps ghosts within three rings across three terms, using hymns from the Book of Magi. Bheem must halt Damyaan before the third term can be completed. The group is teleported to Damyaan’s palace, where they seize the first ring from an evil scorpion. But a trap during the second ring releases a strange gas that endangers everyone, and Damyaan taunts Bheem with the threat that his friends will perish.

In a crucial moment, Bheem decodes the hymn and frees his friends, turning the tide against Skandi and his henchmen. A fierce battle follows as Bheem confronts Damyaan with the king’s support. Using the king’s unique power, Bheem strips Damyaan of his magical abilities and defeats him, ending the immediate menace to the realm and releasing the captured souls.

With Damyaan defeated, the King of Sonapur offers to crown Bheem as the new ruler. Yet, true to his character, the young hero chooses to return to his own time, and the king honors that wish, ensuring that life in Dholakpur resumes its ordinary rhythm while safeguarding the friendship and courage that sustain their adventures.
