Mythili Reema Sen showers love and affection on her neighbor Vishwa Bharath Srinivasan since childhood. Vishwa is the only son of a business tycoon named Rajasekhar Girish Karnad, and he lost his mother at a young age. Mythili treats Vishwa as her younger brother and spends all her time with him.

Ragunandan, an Income Tax Inspector, Vishal Krishna arrives at Rajasekhar’s house for an IT raid and happens to meet Mythili there. They eventually fall in love, and after a series of incidents, they wed and later settle in Goa. The trouble begins when Vishwa reaches Goa in search of Mythili. He kidnaps her and brings her to Chennai. The reasons for Vishwa’s obsession and possessiveness towards Mythili unfold as the movie progresses.

Ragunandan, who comes back to Goa, finds the house deserted. The next-door neighbour tells him that Mythili eloped with Vishwa. He then begins to track her down and finds that the duo had left to Chennai. Ragunandan reaches Chennai. With the help of his colleague Harichandra Vivek, he tries to trace Mythili out. A chance look at the video of their marriage throws light on Vishwa’s hatred towards Ragunandan. Ragunandan is convinced that Mythili did not go on her own will. He confronts Rajasekhar, but he is of no help. Finally, he traces out the location of Vishwa’s hideout.

Mythili pleads with Vishwa to release her. She explains that she cannot be his wife and can see him as a son or little brother. The plea falls on deaf ears. In a racy climax on high seas, the three protagonists fight it out, and Mythili hits Vishwa with the boat oars. He plunges into the sea in an unconscious condition, taking Mythili along. Ragunandan soon saves her. Even though Mythili had killed Vishwa because of her attack on him, she is filled with remorse.

The film features special appearances by Bhanupriya and Mumtaj, adding brief moments of star power to the tense finale.

This movie summary FAQ helps explain confusing scenes, plot twists, and narrative decisions in clear, searchable detail.

Q1

Why does Vishwa kidnap Mythili?

A.

Vishwa kidnaps Mythili because his obsession with her has grown from childhood affection into a dangerous possessiveness. Since Mythili treated him like a younger brother and was the only person who showed him love after losing his mother, Vishwa developed an unhealthy attachment that he mistook for romantic love. When Mythili married Ragunandan and moved to Goa, Vishwa's obsession drove him to forcefully take her back to Chennai.

From childhood, Mythili was the only person in Vishwa's life who showed him affection after his mother's death, setting the foundation for his unhealthy attachment.

Q2

What did the marriage video reveal about Vishwa?

A.

The marriage video revealed Vishwa's deep-seated animosity toward Ragunandan. When Ragunandan reviewed the footage of Mythili and Vishwa's marriage (which was actually Mythili and Ragunandan's wedding video, but Vishwa had been present), it became clear that Vishwa harbored intense hatred for Ragunandan. This discovery convinced Ragunandan that Mythili did not leave willingly with Vishwa.

Q3

Why doesn't Rajasekhar help Ragunandan find Mythili?

A.

Rajasekhar refuses to help Ragunandan locate Mythili despite being aware that Vishwa has kidnapped her. As Vishwa's father, Rajasekhar is either complicit in his son's actions or feels helpless controlling his mentally unstable son. His refusal to assist leaves Ragunandan to pursue his own investigation to rescue Mythili.

Rajasekhar lost his wife at a young age and struggled to raise Vishwa alone, which may explain his inability to control his son's dangerous behavior.

Q4

How does Ragunandan find Mythili in Chennai?

A.

Ragunandan traces Mythili to Chennai with the help of his colleague Harichandra. After learning from the neighbor that Mythili had left with Vishwa, he pieces together clues about their movements and travels to Chennai. He eventually locates Vishwa's hideout through investigation and surveillance.

Q5

Why does Mythili feel guilty after killing Vishwa?

A.

Mythili feels overwhelmed with remorse because although she killed Vishwa in self-defense during the high-seas struggle, she had known him since childhood and genuinely cared for him as a younger brother. The fact that she had to kill someone she once loved and nurtured, even while defending herself from his violent obsession, leaves her with profound emotional trauma.

Mythili had treated Vishwa as a younger brother since childhood, showering him with love and affection despite his mother's absence.

Q6

Why does the neighbor think Mythili eloped with Vishwa?

A.

The neighbor believes Mythili eloped with Vishwa because that is the story Vishwa likely told or implied when he took her from Goa. From the outside, with Mythili being forcibly taken by someone she had known since childhood, the situation appeared to be an elopement rather than a kidnapping. This misunderstanding leads Ragunandan to believe at first that Mythili left willingly.

Q7

Why does Vishwa hate Ragunandan?

A.

Vishwa hates Ragunandan because he sees him as the man who took Mythili away from him. When Ragunandan entered Rajasekhar's house for the IT raid and later married Mythili, Vishwa perceived it as losing the only person who ever loved him. His inability to distinguish between familial love and romantic love fuels his intense hatred toward Ragunandan.

Q8

Why does Vishwa become obsessed with Mythili?

A.

Vishwa becomes obsessed with Mythili because she was the only person who showed him love and attention after his mother died when he was young. Growing up as the son of a busy business tycoon without maternal care, Vishwa latched onto Mythili's affection. Over years, this childhood bond twisted into an obsessive romantic possessiveness that he cannot control.

Mythili has shown love and affection for Vishwa since childhood, treating him like a younger brother and spending most of her time with him.

Q9

Why does Mythili marry Ragunandan?

A.

Mythili marries Ragunandan because they fall in love during his IT raid at Rajasekhar's house. Their interaction during the raid blossoms into romance, leading them to decide to marry. Unlike her relationship with Vishwa, which was familial, Mythili's feelings for Ragunandan are romantic, prompting her to build a new life with him in Goa.

Ragunandan meets Mythili during an IT raid at Rajasekhar's house, and their interaction marks the beginning of their romantic relationship.

Q10

What happens in the high-seas climax?

A.

The high-seas climax involves a fierce confrontation between Ragunandan, Mythili, and Vishwa. After Ragunandan tracks down Vishwa's hideout, a struggle ensues on a boat. Mythili seizes the opportunity to defend herself and strikes Vishwa with boat oars, knocking him unconscious. He falls into the sea, and Ragunandan rescues Mythili. Although Mythili kills Vishwa in self-defense, she is left traumatized by the violent outcome.
