Cannon for Cordoba

It is 1912, border towns are attacked by Mexican revolutionaries, and Cordoba leads the strongest faction. The United States government vows to prevent the cannons from falling into hostile hands. General Pershing is placed in charge of ensuring the cannons are never used against Americans.

General Pershing tasks Captain Rod Douglas with assembling a capable team for the dangerous operation into Cordoba's territory. Douglas must ensure the cannons are neutralized to protect the American people. He begins selecting the men who will carry out the raid.

Jackson Harkness volunteers for the mission, driven by the memory of his brother's torture and death at Cordoba's hands. He vows vengeance and swears to stay by Douglas's side throughout the operation. His loyalty hides a personal monologue of revenge intertwined with duty.

Andy Rice and Peter are freed from army jail by Douglas and join the growing squad. Their escape signals the expansion of the operation and adds capable, restless energy to the group. The team now considers themselves ready for the perilous mission.

Antonio Gutierrez asks to join the mission, driven by his own grudge against Cordoba. He brings Leonora Cristobal, who claims she can help infiltrate Cordoba and gain access to him. Leonora proposes a plan to get close enough to Cordoba to strike.

Leonora betrays Antonio by informing Cordoba of the plan, hoping Cordoba will reward her for the information and give her an opportunity to kill him. Her motive is personal and self-serving, not protective of the mission. The betrayal complicates the operation and raises the stakes.

Douglas and his team arrive at Cordoba's camp posing as sympathizers, unaware of the depth of Leonora's betrayal. They realize time is short and decide to act quickly to exploit any opening. The tension between loyalty and deception runs through their ranks.

Douglas starts a fight with a Mexican guard to get jailed, creating an opportunity for Antonio to escape. Andy, disguised as a guard, helps break out both men, enabling the covert operation to proceed from inside. The jailbreak marks the turning point toward the planned attack.

Douglas confronts Cordoba in his room while Leonora maintains her precarious leverage. Harkness and Peter operate the cannons against the camp, and Andy and Antonio fire flares to light the chaos. The attack results in several deaths, and Cordoba is wounded as the situation spirals out of control.

The survivors push to ride out of the camp with their target compromised and the camp in turmoil. They move through the escape route as dawn approaches, and the mission edges toward its conclusion. Cordoba dies from his wounds, and the opposition's threat begins to fade as they pull away.

Miles from the camp, Harkness confronts Douglas in a bid for vengeance, but Douglas advances calmly toward him. Harkness cannot bring himself to shoot, and instead punches his former ally. The two men reconcile as they walk back toward Leonora, restoring some sense of unity amid the chaos.

The cannons are destroyed, ensuring they can no longer be used against the United States. The government had hoped to capture Cordoba alive, but the primary objective—neutralizing the weaponry—has been achieved at great cost. The survivors regroup, with Cordoba gone and the threat neutralized.
