Jimmy, a client executive in the UAE, meets Anu on a dating app and they begin chatting through Hangouts and Duo. Anu remains timid and rarely reveals her background, and they never meet in person. Despite the distance, Jimmy introduces Anu to his mother and cousin and even proposes to her via video call.

Jimmy's mother asks his cousin Kevin, a cybersecurity specialist, to learn more about Anu. Reluctantly, Kevin hacks into Anu's IP to gather basic information. Unknown to them, Kevin's girlfriend Sanjana plants a bug on Anu's phone out of jealousy.

Anu calls Jimmy to tell him her father, Joseph, had beaten her, leaving injuries. Jimmy brings her to his home and provides medicine prescribed by his friend Dr. Prashanth. Dr. Prashanth advises them to report the incident to the police and notes that living together in the UAE can create legal risks.

Jimmy confronts Anu's father about the abuse; the father apologizes and asks for Anu's phone number. Jimmy passes the number to the father and updates Anu about the confrontation. This exchange heightens the tension as Anu's safety becomes the focal point.

Anu records a suicide note video for Jimmy and then goes missing. The police become involved and arrest Jimmy, further complicating the case. The investigation focuses on proving Jimmy's innocence while search efforts for Anu continue.

To prove Jimmy's innocence, Kevin hacks Anu's Facebook and discovers she arrived in the UAE via an agency as a housemaid who was sold into prostitution. She was beaten if she did not cooperate. The findings reveal a severe exploitation behind Anu's situation.

Kevin reveals that Joseph Tharakan is not Anu's father but a pimp in Dubai who hires Indian maids for jobs and coerces them into prostitution. The supposed family ties were a cover for a trafficking racket. This realization shifts the blame away from Anu and toward the larger criminal network.

Kevin informs Jimmy's mother about Anu's trafficking ordeal. Jimmy realizes Anu was not cheating on him and becomes angry at Kevin for withholding information earlier. The revelation reframes his view of Anu and deepens the emotional stakes.

Kevin traces Anu's last known location to the Indian Consulate General in Dubai. Anu had reported the prostitution racket to the officials, leading to arrests of those involved. She is eventually sent back to India, ending her stay in the UAE.

Jimmy travels to the United States to be with his mother amid the upheaval. He continues to communicate with Anu, and both still harbor love for each other despite the distance and complications.

In the closing moments, Kevin confirms that Jimmy and Anu still love each other. He then shares Anu's phone number with Jimmy and urges him to call her, keeping a channel open for potential reunion.
