In the peaceful atmosphere of The Shady Rest Retirement Home, Sebastian Haff, an elderly resident, announces his belief that he is indeed Elvis Presley. He shares a complex tale about swapping lives with an impersonator in the 1970s, a decision spurred by the unbearable pressure of fame.

Sebastian's story reveals that the impersonator, who took on his identity, met a tragic end in 1977. This event allowed the real Elvis to escape the scrutiny of fame, leading him to a life of secrecy and anonymity that continued for decades.

Further adding to the enigma, a propane explosion eradicated all evidence that could prove Haff's extraordinary claims. This incident further solidified his identity in the minds of those around him, making his story part of the home's mythology.

Over time, Sebastian's health began to decline, culminating in a tragic accident that left him in a coma. This decline marked the end of his vibrant performances, which were a source of joy for himself and those around him.
