Indie singer-songwriter Grey Kessler struggles with anxiety after the overwhelming success of her debut album. She feels intense pressure to replicate this success with her follow-up, leading her to seek medical help for restless dreams and other undisclosed issues.

Reclusive music producer Vaughn Daniels, a former boy-band star, invites Grey to his remote mansion. Despite warnings about his troubled past, including a murder trial, Grey accepts the offer, bringing along her painter girlfriend, Charlie.

Charlie uncovers Vaughn's dark history, realizing he was tried for the murder of singer Greta and that he has a complicated relationship with his past. This discovery raises concern about Grey's safety, foreshadowing the tension in their relationships.
