Word of Blancanieves's triumph in bullfighting reaches her stepmother, who realizes the girl thought to be dead has returned. Her jealousy prompts her to disguise herself and watch one of Carmen's performances.

After a victorious performance, Carmen's stepmother seizes the opportunity to poison her by offering a tainted apple. Unaware of the danger lurking within, Blancanieves takes a bite and collapses, causing uproar among the spectators.

In the chaos following Carmen's fall, she is placed inside a glass coffin, mistaken for dead by those around her. This tragic misunderstanding leads to a macabre spectacle instead of the peace she deserves.

Instead of mourning the loss of the famed bullfighter, onlookers are charged to kiss the glass coffin. This unsettling commercialization highlights the twisted nature of fame and tragedy.
