In the aftermath of Deacon Frost's demise, Blade embarks on a relentless quest to find his former mentor, Whistler. His journey takes him across various locations, highlighting his determination to uncover Whistler's fate after his unsuccessful suicide attempt.

With the aid of Scud, his new weapon designer, Blade successfully locates Whistler in Eastern Europe. He learns that Whistler has been captured and tortured by a dangerous vampire gang, which highlights the ongoing threat of vampirism.
