In the year 2688, humanity thrives in a harmonious society, heavily influenced by the music and philosophies of two iconic figures, Bill and Ted. Their legacy has shaped civilization, fostering peace and creativity across the globe.

Rufus transports Bill and Ted to 1805, introducing them to the historic figure, Napoleon Bonaparte. A cannonball explosion sends Napoleon into disarray, accidentally allowing him to join Bill and Ted on their journey back to the present.

During a detour to the far future, Bill and Ted discover a society that idolizes them and their band, Wyld Stallyns. This encounter fuels their resolve to gather more remarkable historical figures for their school presentation.
