In the opening sequence at a busy Hyderabad airport, a covert wildlife-smuggling operation is halted by vigilant customs officers, and the fleeing smugglers are shot by officer Banerjee. The ensuing hospital confession from the captured criminals points to a shadowy leader named Banerjee, but their defiance is abruptly silenced when Shobha, acting on Banerjee’s orders, triggers a devastating explosion that wipes out everyone in the scene. This brutal wake-up call sets the stage for a countrywide push to protect vulnerable wildlife and the communities that rely on them.

To counter poaching on a larger scale, the Government of India appoints a new forest ranger, Sagar, to guard the dense Sileru forest. Sagar quickly asserts control, outmaneuvering traffickers and forging a trustworthy bond with his team and the local tribal people, including his loyal driver, Balu. Among the forest’s inhabitants, a tribal girl named Nemali develops a quiet fascination with Sagar, recognizing in him a protector who understands their world.

Soon after, Swetha—the senior officer in Sagar’s chain of command—arrives and soon becomes entangled in a romance with him, bringing a mix of care and tension to the mission. The relationship sits alongside a string of lighter, comic moments that humanize the grim work of conservation. Into this mix steps Kavitha, a mysterious woman who presents herself as a social worker, though her true motives remain shrouded in doubt and suspicion.

Meanwhile, Banerjee orchestrates a sweeping poaching operation that would threaten the forest’s fragile balance, only to see Sagar and Swetha intercept the scheme and thwart the plan. The government recognizes Sagar’s feats with a prestigious reward, which he dedicates to the community by supporting the construction of a hospital in the area, underscoring his belief that healing and protection go hand in hand.

During the hospital’s inauguration, Kavitha abruptly accuses Sagar of being an impostor, presenting a photograph that supposedly proves the “real” Sagar exists. Shocked and forced to confront a complicated past, Sagar reveals a startling truth: his real name is Prabhu. Kavitha then unveils a deeper connection, admitting she is Sunitha, Sagar’s sister, which unlocks a cascade of revelations about their shared history and the secrets that shaped their lives.

What follows is a layered tale of two men who share a dream of justice. Prabhu and Jaggu, two seasoned thieves who typically pose as witnesses in court, cross paths with a corrupt officer, CI Bhushan, who hires them to frame an innocent man—an order the pair refuse, earning Bhushan’s wrath and a vow of revenge. As Prabhu learns more about Sagar through a revealing letter, he discovers that Sagar’s devotion to education was a family mission, driven by their mother, Lalithamma, who supported the siblings through hardship. Sagar’s dream extends beyond his own career and into the welfare of his mother and sister, a detail Prabhu comes to admire as he contemplates his own future.

Moved by the tale and the mother’s struggle, Prabhu chooses to honor Sagar’s legacy. The two men form a bond of brotherhood, and Prabhu grows determined to protect Lalithamma’s happiness, even as he must come to terms with being asked to step into someone else’s identity. When Lalithamma’s ill health becomes a pressing concern, she bravely guides Sunitha toward a new life, while Prabhu quietly maintains the illusion of Sagar’s continued presence to keep Sunitha and the family at ease.

The web tightens when Prabhu and Jaggu are finally forced to flee again after Bhushan’s schemes catch up with them. In a tense forest chase, Sagar is gravely wounded and dies, a tragedy that steels Prabhu’s resolve to carry the torch forward. Accepting the burden of a second identity, Prabhu steps into Sagar’s shoes to safeguard the family’s future and protect the forest that Sagar loved so dearly.

Sunitha recognizes the noble heart behind the disguise, and Lalithamma, despite the truth, embraces Prabhu as her son, reinforcing the family’s fragile bond. With the past finally laid bare, Prabhu continues the mission with renewed purpose, capturing Anji—the forest’s insider and Banerjee’s agent—who exposes the larger illegal network and confirms Banerjee’s role in Sagar’s assassination.

In a climactic confrontation, Banerjee’s last bid to destroy the forest is thwarted by Prabhu, who fights to restore balance and clear his name. The villain’s schemes unravel, and Prabhu’s courage reaffirms the family’s unity.
