In the fictional nation of Bangistan, a country split along stark religious lines, the everyday bustle masks a simmering absurdity. North and south exist side by side, each claiming its own identity while the world watches a fragile balance teeter on the edge of satire. The atmosphere hums with a dark‑comic rhythm, a place where grand ideologies collide with ordinary incompetence, and every conversation feels like a careful walk on a volcanic ledge.

Hafeez bin Ali begins as a plain‑spoken call‑centre worker whose routine is upended the moment a fervent imam convinces him that a spectacular act could earn him a place in heaven. Determined yet clueless, he trades his modest life for a dangerous plan, and to hide his true self he adopts the persona of a Hindu named Ishwarchand Sharma. This disguise becomes his passport to the foreign city where the world’s most contentious gathering is set to unfold.

Praveen Chaturvedi lives a very different yet equally earnest existence, revering a charismatic god‑man known only as Guruji. When the guru tasks him with a mission that promises divine approval, Praveen embraces the cause with blind devotion, even learning to masquerade as a Muslim named Allah Rakha Khan to infiltrate the same international conference. His zeal is matched only by his bewildering lack of worldly savvy, setting the stage for inevitable comedic friction.

Both men arrive in Kraków, checking into the same modest hotel and soon crossing paths over a shared affection for an upbeat Indian waitress. Their parallel quests, rooted in opposing faiths yet identical in ambition, spark a peculiar camaraderie that drifts between rivalry and reluctant partnership.
