In 1971, demonologists Ed and Lorraine Warren bring the possessed Annabelle doll to their home after two nurses report violent incidents tied to it. The couple secures the doll in a glass case, blessed by Father Gordon, to contain its malevolent powers.

On their way back home, Ed encounters terrifying spirits summoned by the Annabelle doll, facing significant danger. Despite the horrifying experience, he manages to survive the ordeal, adding to the couple's understanding of the doll's dark influence.

Fast forward to 1972, and Judy Warren starts experiencing paranormal activity at school, notably being followed by the spirit of a priest. This development raises concern about the influence of her parents' work and the potential dangers it brings to her life.

As the Warrens gear up for another investigation, Mary Ellen, their babysitter, prepares for Judy's birthday. She visits a supermarket and begins baking a cake, indicating the warmth and normalcy in the midst of the supernatural chaos.

Daniela, curious about the supernatural after her father's passing, sneaks into the artifacts room. Her desire to connect with her father leads her to tamper with the secured doll, unintentionally unleashing chaos in the Warren household.

In her carelessness, Daniela accidentally leaves Annabelle's glass case unlocked. This pivotal moment marks the beginning of a series of terrifying supernatural events that unfold in the Warren home.

Strange occurrences begin with mysterious knocks at the door, followed by the manifestation of dark spirits. The once ordinary night quickly spirals into chaos as the entities unleashed by the doll wreak havoc on Judy and her friends.

Bob Palmeri arrives to take Mary Ellen out but is immediately confronted by a hellhound. In a desperate attempt to escape, he seeks refuge in the backyard chicken coop, highlighting the escalating danger present in the house.

As the chaos intensifies, Mary Ellen is dragged away by the Ferryman. This shocking development adds urgency to the group's plight, and Judy faces Annabelle in a desperate scenario within her own room.

While trying to return the key to the artifacts room, Daniela becomes trapped. She is tormented by a cursed monkey toy, revealing her desperate situation as she grapples with the supernatural forces at play.
