In the final act Aman — the undercover officer who had been posing as the café owner Joshua — is forced to reveal his true identity to Aido. Their blossoming romance shatters when she discovers he is a police operative, and she drives him away, convinced his feelings were a ruse.

Aman then confronts Aido’s father, Wangnao, the leader of the grassroots “Johnson” movement. Wangnao explains that Johnson is not a single commander but the collective voice of the North‑East, fed up with being treated as a peripheral appendage of the Union. He describes how the region’s isolation, the choke‑point in West Bengal, and the intertwining of drug and arms trades have turned war into a profitable status quo for both the state and the established militant leader Tiger Sanga. The conversation makes Aman question whether his mission truly serves India or simply perpetuates another cycle of violence.

When Aman tries to take Wangnao into custody, his senior officer Abrar Bhatt orders the squad to open fire. The police barrage kills several of Wangnao’s men, and Aman barely escapes, furious at the betrayal of his own command. Yet Abrar later calls him back, insisting that the government must still neutralise the threat. Aman learns that Wangnao has fled into Myanmar, and a surgical strike is planned, led by Major Veer.

Aman opposes a summary execution; he argues that a trial under the Indian Constitution would be a genuine step toward peace. The team crosses the border, only to find the area already raked by a firefight between rival militant factions. When the guns fall silent, Wangnao drops his weapon and surrenders.

Back in Delhi, Aman hands over the dossiers that expose both Wangnao’s crimes and the illicit activities of Tiger Sanga. Confronted with this evidence, Abrar announces to the press that the government will cancel the proposed peace accord with Tiger Sanga, thereby dismantling the fragile deal the centre had been negotiating.

Meanwhile, Aido’s boxing career reaches its climax. In a televised final she faces a German opponent and wins, her victory symbolising a personal triumph over the prejudice and marginalisation she has endured. The film ends with Aman and Abrar watching the match in a modest club, acknowledging that Aido has finally won the real game of chess—the struggle for dignity and recognition for the North‑Eastern people.
