Govindarajulu [Chiranjeevi] is a construction worker who drinks a lot and lives a carefree life, a stark contrast to his son Siddhu [Chiranjeevi], a popular and highly disciplined television host who stands as the family’s moral anchor. The film follows their uneasy dynamic, one that gradually shifts when Siddhu tries to steer his father toward a steadier path. To help curb Govindarajulu’s lavish lifestyle, Siddhu arranges for his father to marry Shanti [Tabu], hoping that a stable domestic life will sober him up and bring balance to the household.

Siddhu’s heart, however, lies with Swetha [Rimi Sen], the daughter of Veerendra [Prakash Raj], a powerful contractor who also happens to be a childhood friend of Govindarajulu. Veerendra’s disdain for Govindarajulu rests on past behavior, and he is determined to keep his name separate from Govindarajulu’s. Veerendra agrees to the marriage between Swetha and Siddhu, but on one public condition: Govindarajulu must distance himself from Siddhu if he wants Swetha to become Siddhu’s wife, as Veerendra does not want any perception of a close tie to Govindarajulu.

Govindarajulu responds by putting on a show of cutting ties, even going so far as to stage a fake estrangement from Siddhu to protect his son’s happiness. This deception complicates the family’s relationships and tests loyalties, while Siddhu, caught between his love for Swetha and his father’s pride, tries to navigate the messy fallout. At the engagement, Siddhu reveals that Veerendra’s condition has been the guiding force behind part of the family’s rift. He walks out of the engagement with Govindarajulu, leaving Veerendra’s reputation precariously strained as the truth begins to bubble up.

Seeing her plan backfire, Swetha tries a different tack. She resolves to divide Govindarajulu and Siddhu herself, hoping to claim a place in the household and exact revenge for the perceived slight to Veerendra. Swetha pleads with Govindarajulu, insisting that she did not know about Veerendra’s public condition and asking to be taken as Siddhu’s wife, a gesture that would cement her place in the family. Govindarajulu, moved by the possibility of his son’s happiness, tells Swetha that if Siddhu truly wants her, he is willing to welcome her into the home with open arms, provided Siddhu is content.

As the family reels from the shifting alliances, Siddhu makes a defining choice: his happiness is inseparable from Govindarajulu’s wellbeing, so he agrees to marry Swetha, hoping that the union can soothe the rift and rebuild the family’s unity. Yet new tensions surface as Govindarajulu encounters ongoing friction with the formidable contractor Satti Pehelwan [Pradeep Ram Singh Rawat], a figure who embodies the external pressures threatening their already delicate balance. Swetha moves into the family home and, aided by her cousin Sathi Babu [Sunil Varma], begins another round of schemes designed to drive a wedge between Govindarajulu and Siddhu. Each scheme is met with stubborn resistance, as Govindarajulu and Siddhu strive to protect their bond.

The story thus centers on a battle of wills: can a father’s reform and a son’s steadfast loyalty withstand a calculated campaign from within the household? Will Veerendra’s reputation and the delicate alliances with those around him survive the revelations, or will Swetha’s calculated moves ultimately pull Govindarajulu and Siddhu apart? The film lingers on these questions, weaving together humor, family duty, and the power of reconciliation, as the core trio—Govindarajulu, Siddhu, and Swetha—navigate love, pride, and the pursuit of happiness within a tightly-knit but conflicted family circle.
