Pasupathy works as a servant for Muniyandi in Arasapuram, forming daily ties with the village head. He observes the power dynamics and the way communities are divided. This proximity seeds a growing sense of grievance that will drive his later actions.

Lakshmi, Muniyandi's daughter, and Prakasham from the opposite village of Aandiyaapuram marry in secret to spite their families. A councillor named Jayaprakasam steps in to broker a peace, but the union remains a flashpoint. The marriage sets up the later conflict between the two villages.

Lakshmi gives birth to twin sons, Anbazhagan and Arivazhagan, which cements a future dynastic tie for both households. The twins become symbols of a family that will be caught in the crossfire of local politics. Pasupathy watches the family with growing envy.

Pasupathy convinces Prakasham to leave the town, aiming to sever his rival's influence. Jayaprakasam uncovers the plot, but Pasupathy murders him in a brutal act. The murder sharpens the feud into a village-wide rift.

The feud between Muniyandi and Prakasham's camps spills into a bitter village dispute. Muniyandi orders Lakshmi to vow to live with him and her firstborn, reinforcing his control over the family. Meanwhile, Pasupathy's political career rises as he becomes MLA, fueling his hunger for power.

Twenty-four years pass and the two sides live largely separate lives. Muniyandi and Lakshmi share a home with their grown grandson Anbu, while Arivu stays with his father in Canada alongside Yazhini. The distance masks simmering grievances that will soon reemerge.

A district collector's plan to hold a chariot festival aims to unite the two villages, but it ignites new tensions between Muniyandi and the Aandiyaapuram camp led by Singaram. The festival becomes a test of whether shared tradition can heal old wounds.

Anbu intervenes when Singaram's faction attempts to burn the chariot, showing his protective side for family and community. Muniyandi lashes out at Pasupathy when he suggests letting the law handle things, revealing the depth of their distrust.

Arivu confronts his father after being shown pictures of Anbu, questioning why the family broke apart. His father explains the history, and Arivu decides to travel to Madurai to seek his roots and reconciliation. The journey marks a turning point in the family saga.

A violent altercation leads to Anbu and Arivu switching places—Anbu stays in Canada with Prakasham while Arivu remains in Madurai with relatives. Lakshmi learns the truth when Anbu's real identity surfaces after a clash with the bull Marudhu, prompting a shift in loyalties.

Anbu falls in love with Yazhini and Arivu falls for Kayal. Kayal is introduced to Prakasham by video call, expanding the circle of allies and potential reconciliation. These personal bonds accompany the political drama.

During the festival, Pasupathy's misdeeds are revealed: Arivu realizes Pasupathy is the mastermind behind the village feud. The climax sees Muniyandi forgiving Prakasham's son-in-law, Arivu publicly exposing Pasupathy, and the CBI arresting him, allowing both villages to unite as they pull the chariot together.
