Shiva is a marketing executive who believes in building a life with someone he truly loves, not following a traditional arranged-marriage path. One day, he spots a woman who instantly captivates him; his interest grows as he begins to notice her daily routine and route to work. He starts following her, and as he observes, he discovers that their tastes and interests align in surprising ways. The connection feels right, and a quiet, growing affection takes root.

Meanwhile, Shiva’s parents persist with their plan and arrange a meeting with the daughter of a respected contractor. Shiva goes through the motions with little enthusiasm, but fate has a different plan. The girl he ends up meeting, Sathya, is the one he had admired from afar. The moment they meet properly, a sense of happiness and certainty settles over him—this might be the girl he has been waiting for, even if the circumstances aren’t exactly as he envisioned.

Shiva and Sathya marry and begin their married life. On the journey back to their home, a strange coincidence unfolds: the very girl Shiva had watched from a distance before now appears again in the same place, and he realizes that Sathya is the lookalike of the woman he fell for earlier. Curious, he visits Sathya’s workplace to learn more about this other girl, who turns out to be named Janani and who is temporarily in the city for a project. As Shiva delves into this mystery, he starts to pull away from Sathya, feeling that their temperaments and interests diverge. Sathya, meanwhile, remains patient and understanding, recognizing that her husband is wrestling with confusion and trying to find his footing within their relationship.

Shiva’s close friend, Dada Giri, notices the tension and urges him to accept Sathya as his wife and to let go of the memory of Janani. Taking this counsel to heart, Shiva begins to open up to Sathya, and her steadfastness starts to soften his doubts. Yet the situation is far from simple: Janani moves into a flat just opposite Shiva and Sathya, and Sathya unexpectedly crosses paths with her. The presence of the two lookalikes adds a complicated layer to the dynamics, and the families begin to sense something different in the air.

As Janani’s presence grows, Sathya’s family makes a trip to meet Janani and is surprised by how lively and carefree she is compared to the more reserved Sathya. Shiva keeps quiet about the preexisting connection he felt with Janani, choosing not to disrupt the delicate balance of his marriage. Dada Giri, observing the evolving situation, starts to realize that Shiva’s feelings are shifting toward Janani, and he plans to reveal everything to Janani in hopes that she will step away. However, in a turn of misinterpretation, he mistakes Sathya for Janani—Sathya’s traditional sarees are misread as Janani’s modern attire—and he blurts out the truth about Shiva’s secret affection, urging Janani to leave the area so Shiva can lead a peaceful life with Sathya. The revelation shocks him when he discovers that the person present isn’t Janani after all; it’s Sathya in disguise, a twist that changes the trajectory of everyone’s life.

Sathya, filled with a mix of sorrow and resolve, returns to her parents’ house. Shiva, determined to defend his wife, goes to her home to bridge the gap between them. Sathya stands up for her husband in front of her parents, demonstrating the strength of their bond and her commitment to their marriage. Janani—who had hoped for a different outcome—feels the weight of the situation, but she eventually agrees to a plan that involves a temple meeting designed to clarify hearts and loyalties. When asked about his true feelings, Shiva expresses that his love for Janani existed before, but upon recognizing Sathya’s genuine affection, his heart shifted and he chose to stay with Sathya. He vows to wait for Sathya to decide to come back, honoring the promise of their shared life.

In a final, emotional twist, it becomes clear that the person Shiva has been interacting with as Janani is actually Sathya in disguise, and Janani’s own plan was to facilitate a resolution that would allow Sathya and Shiva to be together. The encounter leaves Sathya touched by her husband’s praise, and a renewed sense of harmony settles over the couple. Janani steps aside, wishing them well, and quietly exits the scene. In the end, Shiva and Sathya find happiness together, with Janani choosing to move on, allowing the newly united couple to begin a life built on mutual trust, patience, and a shared understanding that love can grow into something steady when honesty and commitment guide the path forward.
