In the breathtaking wilderness of Alberta's Jasper National Park, young Omega wolf Humphrey and his friends embark on an exciting adventure. They joyfully log a board down a steep hill, embracing the thrill of the wilderness.

Meanwhile, Alpha wolf Kate focuses on honing her hunting skills. With her younger sister Lilly by her side, Kate prepares for the challenges ahead, learning the ways of an Alpha.

The paths of Humphrey and Kate fatefully intersect, sparking an unexpected connection. However, their budding relationship faces a significant obstacle when Kate's father, Winston, intervenes, reminding them of the pack laws that forbid Alphas and Omegas from marrying.

As spring arrives, both Kate and Humphrey undergo personal transformations. Humphrey watches in awe as Kate embarks on her first hunt, but chaos ensues when they encounter the Eastern pack wolves, leading to a stampede.

In a moment of bravery, Kate intervenes during the Eastern pack's dangerous situation, saving them from a significant threat. This act leads to a skirmish with the Western pack wolves, which Humphrey and his friends manage to skillfully defuse.

Winston and Tony, the leader of the Eastern pack, meet to discuss a dangerous food shortage affecting both packs. They forge an agreement to merge their packs and decide that Kate will marry Tony's Alpha son, Garth, to solidify their union.

As preparations begin for the Moonlight Howl, Kate reluctantly agrees to the marriage arrangement. She sets aside her feelings for Humphrey, committing to the needs of the pack above her desires.

During the Moonlight Howl, Garth surprises everyone by revealing his lack of howling skills, leading to Kate feeling disheartened. In this moment of vulnerability, she crosses paths with Humphrey again, but their connection is shattered when they are tranquilized by park rangers.

Now relocated to Sawtooth National Recreation Area in Idaho, Kate and Humphrey meet the witty golfing goose Marcel and his duck caddie Paddy. They learn about their relocation and, fueled by determination, form a plan to return to Jasper Park.

With tensions rising between the packs, Tony warns Winston that if Kate does not return by the full moon, conflict is imminent. As Lilly and Garth grow closer, Kate and Humphrey embark on a risky RV journey back to Jasper, facing numerous obstacles.

While navigating the wilderness, Kate encounters a flooding ravine. Humphrey heroically comes to her aid, igniting admiration in Kate for his bravery and reaffirming their bond.

With Marcel and Paddy's help, Kate and Humphrey locate a train that will take them back to Jasper. A playful grizzly bear cub distracts Humphrey, leading to an exhilarating escape down the mountain from angry bears.

As Lilly teaches Garth how to howl, Humphrey’s desire for Kate grows stronger. They share a moment under the full moon, but their growing feelings are discovered by Tony, leading to rising tensions between the packs.

On the day of Kate and Garth's planned wedding, Kate openly declares her love for Humphrey. Garth reciprocates by revealing his feelings for Lilly, causing chaos that culminates in a brawl between their packs.

As the stampede of caribou approaches, Kate and Humphrey unite to save their packs from disaster. Despite the tragedy that unfolds, their love prevails, leading to a new era of unity as Winston and Tony revise the old laws.
