Aladdin

An orphan street urchin from Agrabah, Aladdin is quick-witted, resourceful, and brave. He wins Jasmine’s heart after disguising himself as a prince, and he learns the cost of deception even as he aims to change his stars. He vows to free the Genie and ultimately chooses love and integrity over power.

Jasmine, here called Princess Layla, is a sheltered princess who longs to rule Agrabah and shape her own future. She values independence and authentic connection, forming a bond with Aladdin through shared adventures and trust. Her arc centers on choosing love over a politically convenient match.

A magical being bound to the lamp, Genie grants three wishes and provides humor, power, and companionship. He desires true freedom from servitude and forms a loyal friendship with Aladdin, ultimately choosing to help him achieve his goals while seeking his own release.

Fatima is Aladdin’s mother, the family’s caring anchor in a city full of danger. Her warmth and resilience help sustain Aladdin as he navigates life in Agrabah.

Ruler of Agrabah, the Sultan is depicted as a kindly and fair monarch whose authority is tested by palace intrigue. He ultimately allows Aladdin and Jasmine to unite, after being freed from manipulation and danger.

Additional voice for the Sultan, contributing to the same benevolent ruler portrayal and the ceremonial aspects of Agrabah’s leadership.

The royal vizier who schemes to overthrow the Sultan and serves as a driving force in the palace intrigue that drives much of the plot and Jafar’s plans.

The Vizier’s Son is a supporting member of the court whose presence intertwines with the Vizier’s schemes and the palace’s political dynamics.
