During Ganesh Chaturthi, Vishnu birth-places the idea of a proper dance crew—Dhongri Dance Revolution (DDR)—and begins grooming the group into something capable of competing in Dance Dil Se. He finds a sympathetic ally in a local patron, Vardha Bhai, who helps secure a shack where the team can hold classes, and Vishnu volunteers to teach for free, reaffirming his belief that passion and dedication can change lives. Yet discipline remains the biggest hurdle. The two factions in the group—led by the intense Danish “D” Qureshi and the slick, rivalry-prone Rocky—spar over choreography, and the tension spills into nearly every practice session. The newcomers are joined by Chandu, a gifted dancer with a troubled past, Shaina, a bar dancer, and Rhea, a Westerner who had been the lead dancer at JDC before Jehangir blocked her, hoping to keep her close for personal reasons. Rhea quickly becomes a central figure, and it isn’t long before both [D] and [Rocky] are vying for her attention.

As the squad begins to gel, Rhea’s star rises, while Bhavana and [D]’s complicated dynamic adds emotional weight to the group. Despite attempts to keep the peace, the two camps collide repeatedly, threatening the unity Vishnu has worked so hard to create. The team shows promise, but a moment of temptation—an impulse to show off at an elite club against the resident champions, the Fictitious Crew—nearly sabotages their newfound momentum. Vishnu intervenes at the last minute, saving their money and teaching the dancers a hard lesson about focus and responsibility.

Real progress comes when Vishnu tasks the two factions with a single, demanding challenge: a step that requires mutual trust. He blindfolds [D] and [Rocky], insisting that they perform the same move together while they are apart from each other. After several stumbles and strained moments, the pair learns to trust one another, and they complete the move not only with precision but with a renewed bond. This moment becomes a turning point for the entire DDR crew, as their earlier rivalries quiet down and cooperation takes its place.

Into the semi-final stretch, tragedy strikes: Chandu’s drug dealer resurfaces, and a chance encounter ends with Chandu being struck by a truck, leaving the team devastated. Vishnu asks the crew to focus on the semi-final first, but Shaina steps forward, carrying the weight of the loss in a performance that becomes a heartfelt tribute to their friend. DDR cremates Chandu and resolves to honor his memory by pushing forward with their routines. Meanwhile, Mayur, another DDR member, is enticed by a shot at stardom with JDC and begins feeding information back to Jehangir, creating a dangerous dynamic as JDC starts to mirror DDR’s choreography.

With the semi-final looming, the DDR crew improvises a new approach that centers on Lord Ganesha’s symbolism—an audible nod to the strength, resilience, and unity that Vishnu and his team have built. The performance speaks to the audience in a way that is both personal and universal, rekindling the old friendship between Vishnu and Jehangir in the process. Jehangir, moved by the sincerity of the DDR’s routine, finds himself humbled by the reminder of why he and Vishnu started the company in the first place.
