Aakasha Ganga

Devan confesses his love for Ganga and reveals that she is pregnant during an audience with Thampuran. Thampuran reacts with fury, slapping Ganga and ordering Devan locked away. This confrontation sets the tragedy in motion and foreshadows the dark path the family will follow.

Ganga is beaten and declared dead as Thampuran and Panicker prepare a funeral pyre. Ganga regains consciousness moments before the cremation and begs for water, but Thampuran completes the rite anyway. The merciless act seals her fate and triggers the cycle of vengeance.

Ganga's soul becomes a Yakshi and begins haunting the family. Devan, crushed by the loss, takes his own life. The spirit then possesses Thampuran and murders him, enacting the revenge the clan fears.

Meppaddan confronts the vengeful spirit and binds her to a Banyan tree. He warns that the male members must live in celibacy, for if she is freed, no one, not even he, can stop her.

Years pass and the male line remains celibate. Unnikuttan falls in love with Maya, a woman he meets on a film set, and they wish to marry. The family agrees to a marriage in name only and imposes a strict no-consummation rule.

During a shopping trip, a man named James interrupts and claims Maya is his missing fiancée, Daisy. Panicker grows suspicious of the stranger while the family debates the claim. The truth begins to surface: Maya is actually Ganga occupying another girl’s body.

Maya begins attacking family members and seducing Unni, becoming pregnant in the process. The family learns the terrible truth: Daisy is the host body, but Ganga has seized control through her presence. The revelation shakes the household to its core.

Meppaddan reveals Daisy’s backstory: a college girl from a Christian background who freed Ganga by passing near the banyan tree during a college excursion. After that incident, Daisy's habits change, she disappears, and later returns with a motive of revenge against the family. The possession context becomes clearer.

Meppaddan and Father Michael decide to perform an exorcism to end Ganga’s hold over Daisy. They explain this will be a dangerous rite that could affect both Daisy and the family. They plan the exorcism with care, hoping to break the curse.

An intense exorcism unfolds as Meppaddan battles Ganga inside Daisy. He provokes the spirit by burning the host alive to drive Ganga out, saving Daisy in the process. Daisy remains unconscious and is hospitalised after the ordeal.

Daisy wakes with memories of her own family but forgets the Maanikesseri clan and the possession. Unni accuses James and his kin of manipulating her, while James finally reveals the complete truth of what happened. The revelation unsettles everyone but paves the way for the final reconciliation.

James reunites Daisy with Unni, acknowledging Unni’s devotion. Daisy accepts a new name, Maya, and joins the Maanikesseri family, with news of her pregnancy confirming a hopeful future. The tale ends on a note of healed bonds and renewed family ties.
