Niko attempts to slip away from his girlfriend's apartment before she awakens. He feels compelled to inform her that he won’t be coming back that evening, hinting at vague obligations that weigh on his mind.

As Niko moves boxes into his new apartment, nostalgia washes over him. He sifts through old photographs and checks his mail, only to find an official letter revealing he has missed an important appointment.

Niko attends a session with a state psychologist following his recent DUI arrest. During the session, he discloses his decision to drop out of law school while grappling with probing questions about his personal life.

The psychologist deems Niko unstable and decides not to reinstate his driving license. This leads Niko to reflect on his current state of life and the choices that brought him here.

In a trendy coffee shop, Niko finds himself without enough cash. He selflessly gives his last money to a sleeping beggar, only for the ATM to swallow his bank card, leading to chaos and misunderstandings.
