Vishal Diganth Manchale is a carefree youngster whose heart beats for music, and who enjoys a surprising degree of freedom from his well-meaning but permissive parents. His friend Shivu Sathish Ninasam is the contrast—practical, serious about life, and always nudging Vishal toward responsibility. Yet Vishal pursues his musical dreams with a laid-back attitude to relationships, navigating hookups with a light touch while his passion remains the guiding star.
He falls head over heels for his collegemate Nandini Sindhu Lokanath, who mirrors his warmth and ambition. After a brief courtship, the couple plans to marry, but Nandini wants Vishal to settle into a job first so she can present a stable future to her father. Vishal believes she is the one, and for a while the two seem perfectly matched. Yet when the moment arrives to choose between his music career and their life together, he hesitates, and the relationship dissolves into a breakup that leaves both parties wondering about what might have been.
Vishal soon crosses paths with Rashmi Samyukta Hornad, a journalism aspirant who films him for an academic project. Nandini, initially reluctant, ends up marrying Chandan as arranged by her father, a development that creates a charged, uncomfortable moment when Vishal encounters her at the wedding. Rashmi’s feelings deepen quickly, and she becomes ready to marry Vishal. Vishal, after spending time with her, also falls in love, but his happiness is shaken when he witnesses Rashmi being approached by an old pursuer—an encounter he interprets through the lens of Nandini’s past.
Six months pass, and Shivu faces a stark and sobering reality: cancer has taken hold, and his days are numbered. Vishal, by then working in Dubai, returns to India to reconnect with Rashmi, who has become a television journalist. He discovers that Rashmi is now dating Suraj Pawan Kumar, a turn of events that underscores how life and love continue to move in unforeseen circles. The film closes with Vishal offering an epilogue on how love, in its many forms, makes life complete its own circular journey.
The director’s alternate ending is a noteworthy addition for fans and is available on YouTube, inviting viewers to compare perspectives on how the story could have resolved differently.
