Every time Takemichi shakes hands with Naoto Tachibana, he is transported exactly 12 years into the past. The handshake triggers a strange jolt that sends him from 2017 back to 2005. This time travel is a paradox, changing the past alters the future, but Takemichi retains his memories of both timelines.
