‘68 follows a year—from January 1 to December 31, 1968—in the lives of Zoltan Szabo, a Hungarian immigrant, and his family as they build a new life in San Francisco. The Szabos grapple with assimilation, the era’s cultural upheaval, and shifting family dynamics. Their younger son, a college student, is gay, comes out and is disowned by his father.
