The film lacks a conventional narrative, focusing instead on how an older man and a young woman react to the headlines of 1968—May student protests, the Vietnam War, and the Biafran conflict. Scenes drift through a train graveyard and a ruined house where youths compile a journal, all rendered in a soundless, surreal atmosphere where doors close without a creak.
