In the time of 10,000 BC, the Yagahl tribe thrives in the remote mountains of the Urals. Their survival hinges on the hunting of woolly mammoths, establishing a bond between the people and their environment.

D'Leh, a young hunter of the tribe, gains significant honor after bravely slaying a woolly mammoth, earning the coveted 'White Spear.' This extraordinary feat also leads to his betrothal with Evolet, a rescued orphan, though D'Leh harbors doubts about his worthiness.

The peace of the Yagahl is shattered when the Four Legged Demons launch a surprise attack on their camp. D'Leh and a few tribe members are away, leading to the capture of Evolet and the enslavement of many others.

Fueled by love and determination, D'Leh sets out to rescue Evolet, joined by his loyal friends Tic'Tic, Ka'Ren, and Baku. Their journey is fraught with danger, including encounters with giant, terrifying birds in the rainforests.

In a dramatic turn, D'Leh manages to rescue Evolet but their victory is short-lived. A fierce attack leaves Tic'Tic injured, and both Evolet and Baku are recaptured, forcing D'Leh to continue his relentless pursuit.

D'Leh and Tic'Tic come across other tribes victimized by the raiders, forging alliances in their quest for justice. They meet Nakudu, the leader of the Naku tribe, who shares a prophecy regarding a connection with a Spear-Tooth.

The tribes learn of a prophecy that hints at D'Leh's destiny, as he remembers sparing the life of a Smilodon, the Spear-Tooth. This moment serves as a turning point, instilling hope among the captives and their would-be rescuers.

The raiders transport their captives aboard ominous ships with red sails to the so-called Mountains of the Gods. D'Leh's resolve hardens as he rallies various tribes to unite against their common foe.

During their travels, D'Leh and his companions discover an advanced civilization reminiscent of ancient Egypt. The people are enslaved, toiling for a ruler known only as 'The Almighty,' who is revered as a living god.

In a moment of revelation, D'Leh recognizes a servant wearing a bracelet that belonged to his father, who had vanished years ago in search of food. This connection fuels his determination to free the captives and end the tyranny.

D'Leh leads an uprising among the enslaved people, compelling the mammoths to stampede and undermine the forces of The Almighty. This act of rebellion stirs hope and awakens the other slaves to their potential for freedom.

In a bid to quell the rebellion, The Almighty offers D'Leh a choice: reclaim Evolet and leave the rest as slaves or continue the fight for freedom. D'Leh, torn yet determined, sees through the façade of divinity.

Feigning submission, D'Leh seizes the opportunity to attack, throwing a spear that kills The Almighty. This act dismantles the regime, but chaos ensues and Evolet is kidnapped in the ensuing turmoil.

In a desperate struggle against her captor, Evolet bravely fights back but suffers a mortal wound. Heartbroken, D'Leh avenges her attacker and cradles her lifeless body, marking a poignant moment in their journey.

As the sun sets on their triumphs and tragedies, the tribe's wise woman sacrifices herself to restore Evolet. Together, D'Leh and Evolet return home with renewed hope, ready to introduce agriculture and change the future of their tribe.
