The People That Time Forgot

As Major Ben McBride (Patrick Wayne) sets off on a daring journey into the relentless wilderness of Antarctica, he is propelled by a strong sense of duty and enduring loyalty to his long-lost friend Bowen Tyler (Doug McClure). Aboard the British naval survey ship, their steadfast vessel, they bravely navigate through perilous icy waters on their way to the secluded island of Caprona. Upon their arrival, McBride’s team—comprising paleontologist Norfolk (Thorley Walters), gunner and mechanic Hogan (Shane Rimmer), and the keen photographer Lady Charlotte ‘Charlie’ Cunningham (Sarah Douglas)—takes to the skies in an amphibious aircraft, soaring high above the awe-inspiring mountainous landscape that envelops this enchanting land. However, their thrilling adventure quickly transforms into chaos as they are ensnared in a fierce aerial battle with a colossal pterodactylus, forcing them to make a harrowing emergency landing in the harsh terrain below.

In the midst of grappling with their dire circumstances, they are abruptly thrust into a realm where primitive tribes and prehistoric beasts coexist in wild abandon. With the clock ticking and survival as their utmost priority, McBride’s party must rely on their wits and resourcefulness to navigate through treacherous encounters with ancient enemies, all while seeking a path back to the safety of their ship. It is during this extraordinary ordeal that they encounter Ajor (Dana Gillespie), a cave-girl gifted with the power of speech by Tyler himself, who becomes their unexpected guide towards the fearsome Nargas, a clan of samurai-like warriors holding Tyler captive.

As the volcanic forces that command this primordial world begin to awaken, unleashing a catastrophic wave of destruction that threatens to obliterate everything in its vicinity, McBride and his companions realize they must uncover a way to flee from the looming calamity. In an astounding act of heroism, Tyler sacrifices his life to ensure their escape, covering their retreat and securing their safe passage back to the world they once left behind.
