Fantasy Island

Five guests arrive at Fantasy Island and are greeted by proprietor Mr. Roarke. Roarke explains that the island can reveal and fulfill their deepest fantasies. He confirms the assignments: Patrick to a war-inspired mission honoring his late father, Melanie set on exacting revenge on her bully Sloane, the Weavers invited as guests at a mansion rave, and Gwen facing a renewed proposal from her ex.

Melanie discovers that Sloane Maddison has been brought to the island against her will. She confronts the masked surgeon hired to 'take care' of Sloane and fights to free her. The pair escape together into the island's night, unsure of what the fantasy truly means.

Patrick is seized by a military platoon on the island and brought before Lieutenant Sullivan, whom Patrick realizes is his father. The encounter exposes a darker side of the island's fantasy scenario. The stage is set for future confrontations.

A masked surgeon attacks Melanie and Sloane again, but Damon intervenes and kills the surgeon. Damon reveals that the island's fantasies are powered by spring water under a glowing rock in a cave. He and the others collect water and head back to the resort for help.

Morning reveals a startling development for Gwen: she has a daughter with her ex, Allen, and she questions the authenticity of the island's promises. Her desires for love and security collide with reality.

Roarke explains that the fantasies exist to support his own fantasy of reuniting with his deceased wife. Gwen presses him to grant her real wish: to save her neighbor Nick Taylor who died in a fire. He agrees, offering her a chance to influence events.

Night falls and the line between fantasy and nightmare blurs. The Weavers are taken hostage by a drug cartel connected to the mansion's owner, transforming their fantasies into threats.

Gwen is pulled into the night of the fire that killed Nick, discovering that the other guests were present as well. She attempts to save Nick but fails, and Roarke's assistant Julia rescues her.

Sullivan's soldiers attempt to rescue the Weavers, but the cartel's forces are killed and reanimate as zombies. J. D. is fatally shot, and Sullivan sacrifices himself so Patrick and Brax can escape back to the resort.

The zombified surgeon ambushes Melanie and Sloane, but Damon sacrifices himself and leaps off a cliff with the surgeon to prevent them from reaching the others. The guests regroup at the resort as the island's hold tightens.

Roarke reveals that they are trapped in a deadly fantasy designed to end their lives. The guests realize that Nick's death implicates everyone, and they mistakenly suspect Julia's fantasy as the cause as they flee toward a dock for help.

The group heads to the cave to destroy the glowing rock with a grenade carried by Patrick. During this moment, Melanie stabs Patrick and takes Sloane hostage, revealing that this is her true fantasy: revenge for Nick and the others.

Julia is revealed to be Roarke's wife, brought back to life by the island's powers, and she helps the guests before disappearing.

Sloane remembers the spring water and wishes for Melanie to be with Nick forever. Nick's zombified corpse rises and drags Melanie into the water; Melanie detonates the grenade, but Patrick sacrifices himself to protect the others. The guests awaken back at the now-purified resort; Brax is told to stay on the island, J. D. is resurrected, and Brax names himself 'Tattoo' in honor of his friend.
