PRV is an influential figure in the Ramanathapuram district who runs multiple ventures spanning Rameswaram. He has four sons: Ramachandran, Sivachandran and Jayachandran from his deceased wife, and Ravi from his second wife Muthaaram. The elder three are dismissive of Ravi due to caste, creating a fragile family balance as Ravi remains loyal but sidelined.

Pandi killed Ravi's friend's by throwing him from the Ramanathapuram–Rameswaram Pamban bridge. Ravi, the victim's classmate, pursued legal action, leading to Pandi's arrest. Samuthiram met PRV to seek a truce between the families, but PRV's three elder sons refused due to caste loyalties.

During the confrontation, Pandi tries to shoot Ravi but is killed by Thiyagarajan to prevent further bloodshed. The very next day, Lingam drags Thiyagarajan into the sea to avenge Pandi's death. Lingam is subsequently caught and punished with seven years' imprisonment.

Lingam is released from prison, and Ravi quickly realizes that Lingam is out to target his family. To protect them, Ravi begins acting covertly to shield his household from Lingam's schemes.

Amid ongoing family tensions, Ravi falls in love with Jebamalar, who eventually reciprocates his feelings. Their budding relationship provides emotional depth amidst the violence and revenge surrounding the family.

Ravi discovers his half-niece Selvi, also known as Paappa, in a relationship with Muslim boy Raheem. He accepts their relationship and tries to prevent Paappa from making impulsive decisions, but Paappa eventually elopes with Raheem with Jebamalar's help.

Ravi's caste-fanatic brothers blame him for inaction and expel him and Muthaaram from their house. The stress takes a toll, and PRV dies from the distress.

During PRV's funeral, Ravi is forbidden from seeing his father, while Lingam and Samuthiram are permitted to attend. Muthaaram ridicules the brothers, and Ramachandran feels his honour threatened, hinting that Paappa's fate may be used to preserve family honour.

Ravi resolves to locate Paappa after the funeral and protect her, starting a dangerous search that eventually leads him toward Nagore. He finds Paappa there but Raheem is missing.

Ravi brings Paappa back home, but Ramachandran tries to kill Paappa to protect his honour. Ravi intervenes and stops the attempt, causing further strain within the family.

Ravi's brothers align with Lingam to assault Ravi's household. Lingam kidnaps Raheem, and Ravi tracks him down, eventually reuniting Raheem with his parents.

Lingam's men assault the house at night. Ramachandran is backstabbed by bribed allies but survives; Muthaaram and Paappa are severely injured and hospitalised.

Ravi declares severing ties with the family, while Ramachandran reconciles with him. Lingam kidnaps Jayachandran's child, escalating the crisis.

Samuthiram distracts Lingam, allowing Ravi to reach a nearby island and confront Lingam. Ravi defeats Lingam but spares him, as Lingam is about to become a father, ending the long feud peacefully.

Paappa and Raheem are reunited with Ramachandran, and the PRV brothers finally accept Ravi as their brother, ending the saga on a hopeful note.
