During a magic-free Caribbean vacation, the Russo family visits a street fair where Archie the street magician asks for their help in locating the Stone of Dreams to turn Giselle back into a human. Jerry is wary, warning that many wizards who chase the stone never return. The family debates the danger before agreeing to consider the plan.

Theresa catches Alex attempting to use magic to escape the family, sparking a heated argument about trust. Alex is grounded for two months and loses her magic privileges, escalating the family’s tensions. The incident sets the stage for the fateful wish.

In a fit of anger, Alex wishes that her parents had never met. A smuggled wand and spell book activate the wish, creating an alternate reality where Jerry and Theresa do not remember their children or each other. The siblings suddenly find themselves in a world that feels right yet profoundly wrong.

In this altered reality, Jerry explains they have 48 hours to reverse the spell and warns that the Stone of Dreams might hold the key. He nonchalantly mentions the possibility of using it, admitting it could fix everything—but at a price. The idea of a quest returns as a sliver of hope.

Alex and Justin set off to locate the Stone of Dreams with Archie guiding them, determined to restore their family’s memories. Back at the resort, Max remains clueless that something is off, slowly losing more memories as the day progresses. The journey begins amid tropical scenery and escalating danger.

Max tells Jerry that Alex and Justin have disappeared to find the Stone and asks for help. Jerry accepts the dangerous mission despite his misgivings, and Theresa reluctantly joins, thinking they are treasure hunters. The team prepares to chase the missing siblings into uncertain realms.

Jerry transports Alex and Justin to an ancient battlefield where a contest will determine who becomes a full wizard. The rules restrict magic to the four classical elements, and the winner gains full powers while the loser permanently loses them. The tension builds as the duel approaches.

Theresa returns to the battlefield with the Stone and confronts Giselle; Archie retrieves the Stone and turns Giselle back into a parrot, then hands it to Theresa. The adults regroup as the stakes rise and the fate of the family hangs in the balance. The stage is set for the final reversal.
