The story introduces Asha, a spirited young woman who shares her family's love and anticipation for her grandfather Sabino's milestone birthday. As he approaches the age of 100, the family buzzes with excitement, hoping he will be chosen to have his deepest wish granted during the illustrious Wishing Ceremony.

Asha is determined to interview with King Magnifico to earn the title of his apprentice. With her loyal goat Valentino by her side, she takes on the role of ambassador, showcasing the beauty and history of Rosas to visitors from all around.

Asha shares her hopes and dreams with her best friend Dahlia, a gifted baker navigating life in a wheelchair. Together with their vibrant circle of friends, they provide Asha with invaluable support and advice on how to approach the elusive king.

During her audience with King Magnifico, Asha quickly senses a change in the king's demeanor as he reminisces about her late father. This uncomfortable moment reveals the king’s expansive collection of wishes, and Asha discovers her grandfather Sabino's heartfelt desire to spread joy through music.
