A few days before Christmas break, a young woman known simply as girl opts for a campus ride share program instead of taking the bus home to Delaware. This decision marks the beginning of an unexpected journey filled with both eerie encounters and personal revelations.

Upon arriving late for her ride, girl discovers guy asleep in his car. Their first meeting is marked by an unsettling atmosphere as the car is filled with his belongings, hinting at his unstable situation.

As they depart, girl accidentally leaves behind a bag of guy's belongings in the trunk, an eerie token of their sudden connection. This moment foreshadows the intertwining of their fates as they begin their journey together.

A Highway Patrol Officer appears unexpectedly but shows a disturbing lack of awareness regarding their dire situation. When he attempts to pull girl out of the car with malicious intent, guy intervenes, revealing a deeper danger.
