In modern Paris, Claire Millaud balances the routines of a French‑literature professor with the quiet turbulence of a recent divorce. Sharing custody of her two sons, she moves between classrooms, family obligations, and the lingering sense that something from her past still lingers just out of reach. The city’s cafés and university halls become a backdrop for her introspection, a place where the ordinary masks a deeper yearning for connection.

A former lover, the considerably younger Ludovic Dalaux, has drifted away, leaving behind only the echo of a relationship that was never meant to be settled. When Alex Chelly, Ludovic’s roommate, answers a call meant for his absent housemate, a strange opportunity surfaces. Intrigued and restless, Claire adopts a fabricated online identity—a 24‑year‑old named “Clara Antunès”—and begins a careful, anonymous correspondence that blurs the line between curiosity and longing.
