In Hawaiian sugar plantations, the manager loves a native girl but marries a San‑Francisco socialite. The city wife struggles with plantation life, grows restless, and almost yields to a native suitor. When her former lover returns, jealousy sparks a fire; the native rescues the manager, and the wife leaves, freeing him to be with his true love.
