Justine Gandy and the grieving father Archer finally arrive at Alex Lilly’s home, the place the night‑time footage has shown as the source of the strange disappearances. Inside the basement they find the seventeen missing children, each motionless‑as‑if‑drawn‑to‑a‑point‑by‑an unseen force. Alex, who has been forced into a terrible role by Aunt Gladys, watches the ritual she used to bind the kids and, recalling every step, turns the spell back on its maker. He ties the same hair‑and‑twig talisman to the witch’s own blood, sending the cursed energy spiraling outward.

The children, now under the reversed hex, become living weapons. One by one they surge forward, their arms stiff and their movements like missiles, and they chase Gladys through the house. The hunt ends in a brutal, frenzied assault: the kids tear her apart, their collective rage finally released. As the camera pulls back, the film closes the circle it opened at the start—a child’s voice‑over whispers that the children have returned home, and that after a while some of them begin to speak again.

The ending shows that the true “weapons” were never supernatural objects but the children themselves, weaponized by Gladys’s dark magic and later reclaimed by Alex’s desperate ingenuity. By turning the curse back on its source, Alex not only frees the kids but also gives them the agency to destroy the creature that turned them into tools of terror.
