Waxwork

A group of college students, including Mark, China, Gemma, James, Tony, and Sarah, embark on a thrilling visit to a mysterious wax museum in their quaint suburban town. Their excitement quickly transforms into a chilling experience as they encounter grotesque displays of classic horror characters.

Inside the museum, Tony is unexpectedly transported to a remote cabin where he confronts a fearsome werewolf. Just as he seems destined to fall victim, a brave hunter and his son arrive, attempting to save him, but the encounter ends tragically.

China is thrust into a dark Gothic castle filled with danger. Here, she faces Count Dracula and his pack of vampires, ultimately succumbing to their allure and becoming one of the undead.

Meanwhile, Mark and Sarah manage to escape the wax museum, unaware of the horrors that have just ensued. They set out to find their friends but soon discover that not everyone has managed to escape the sinister fate awaiting them.

Johnathan arrives at the wax museum searching for China but becomes entranced by the Phantom of the Opera display. Guided by David Lincoln, he unwittingly walks deeper into the museum's dark clutches.

Concerned for his friends, Mark seeks help from police detectives, where he meets Inspector Roberts. The inspector, intrigued by the waxworks, begins to uncover the disturbing connection between the displays and missing persons.

As they investigate further, Mark and Roberts notice David Lincoln's resemblance to the wax owner, which heightens their suspicions. However, the investigation takes a tragic turn when Inspector Roberts confronts a mummy, leading to his gruesome demise.

Determined to uncover the truth, Mark takes Sarah to his attic to reveal details from an old newspaper article about his grandfather's murder that points to David Lincoln as the prime suspect. This revelation leads them to a wheelchair-bound friend of Mark's grandfather, Sir Wilfred.

Sir Wilfred shares chilling details about how he and Mark's grandfather collected relics from malign figures and explains Lincoln's dark past. The group realizes Lincoln's intention to resurrect these souls through his wax figures using victims' life forces.

Armed with gasoline, Mark and Sarah return to the wax museum to confront the horrors within. However, Sarah is ensnared by the surreal world of the Marquis de Sade, while Mark finds himself trapped in a zombie display.

While surrounded by terrifying undead, Mark discovers a profound truth: if he does not believe in the monsters, they cannot harm him. This revelation empowers him in their fight for survival.

Mark manages to escape the zombie exhibit and reunites with Sarah, who is trapped in the Marquis de Sade's realm. Together, they try to flee from Junior and Lincoln's grasp, who are intent on reclaiming their victims.

Gemma and James return to the museum and also fall into its horrifying traps. Gemma is captured by the Marquis while James's reckless behavior leads to a disastrous fate, permanently turning them into wax figures.

In a final confrontation, Sir Wilfred arrives with an army of allies to battle the waxworks. Mark faces off against the Marquis de Sade, culminating in a fierce struggle that results in the Marquis's demise at Sarah's hand.

Despite their hard-fought victory, the horrors are not over. Lincoln meets a grisly end at the hands of Sir Wilfred, only to have a werewolf claim the latter shortly after. Mark and Sarah narrowly escape, haunted by the chaos that lingers.
