A poet is hired by the eccentric owner of a traveling circus’s wax museum to compose elaborate tales about Harun al‑Rashid, Ivan the Terrible, and Jack the Ripper. As he writes, he and the owner’s daughter, Eva, become immersed in the fantastical narratives, sharing vivid fantasies that draw them together and spark a tender romance.
