The film centers on Karel Jaroš, a man struggling with emotional detachment, whose mother is afflicted with Alzheimer's disease. Bound by a sense of duty rather than love, he hesitates to place her in a care facility. This situation unexpectedly provides an opportunity for him to reconnect with his mother, his teenage son, and ultimately, with himself, leading to a poignant exploration of family and responsibility.
