Voodoo Tiger

Jungle Jim and Sergeant Bono accompany Phyllis Bruce on a tour of an African jungle and witness a near-sacrificial ritual. Jim intervenes when chief Wombulu raises a knife to sacrifice a native to the tiger god Tambura. The would-be victim is saved when hunter Abel Peterson shoots the priest.

After the confrontation, Peterson invites Jim, Bono, and Phyllis Bruce to stay at his jungle lodging. The invitation hints at an uneasy alliance as their paths remain tangled. The trio accepts the hospitality, continuing their journey.

Major Bill Green and Commissioner Kingston arrive to meet Karl Werner, who is believed to hold information about the stolen artworks. Jim is tasked to lead the expedition to Werner's jungle operation base. Tension runs high as authorities prepare to press Werner for answers.

Werner claims ignorance about the looted pieces. Green counters by branding him a Nazi who aided the looters. The accusation intensifies the urgency of their quest.

Green spots Peterson and his men near Werner's base and a battle erupts between the two camps. Peterson's team prevails, and Jim, Green, Kingston, and Werner are captured and locked in a cupboard. The group faces a grim setback as the plot thickens.

Werner breaks free from captivity and races to the airfield. He overpowers the pilot and takes control of the plane that Peterson's group plans to escape in. He heads back toward the jungle with his captors left behind.

The plane reaches its destination and catches fire. Werner and an exotic dancer jump out to survive, while their tiger also lands in the jungle, creating chaos and fear. The airborne sequence unsettles everyone on the ground.

The natives who were about to massacre Jim see the dancer's tiger and kneel, believing the animal to be Tambura. The moment shifts fear into reverence and complicates the attackers' plans. The tiger becomes a symbol of the tribe's beliefs.

Back in the jungle, Wombulu teams up with Peterson to kidnap Werner, hoping to extract the information they crave. Jungle Jim and his allies begin to regroup, sensing a larger danger on the horizon. The alliance increases the stakes for the expedition.

Jim's eagle-eyed pet chimpanzee Tamba spots an obscure dynamite trap laid for the group and signals danger. Jim quickly defuses the explosive device, preventing a fatal setback and keeping the team moving forward. The clever ape proves essential to their escape.

The exotic dancer's tiger goes on a wild rampage, attacking natives and causing chaos. The rampage heightens fear and complicates any attempt to reach Werner safely. Tambura's legend becomes a practical threat in the jungle.
